Opportunity to bid for two projects with Scottish Water

Scottish Water has requested firms to prequalify for two design and build projects at the Daldowie and Dalmarnock sewage treatment works.

The projects are designed to reduce the impact of waste from the water works to the River Clyde.

Both projects are expected to cost around £55m each. The first project involves the design and completion of a third chemical dosing plant. The second project is the design and build of a granular activated sludge plant.

The work will be split into two project races to improve flexibility in delivery, however, Scottish Water would prefer to award both jobs to a single company.

Scottish Water are currently deciding which treatment process to adopt, and the process provider will be named as subcontractor to the lead construction partner.

PQQ documentation will be released on the Public Contracts Scotland website. Bids will be invited from around five firms by the end of September.
