Briefing event for a public framework worth £300 million
East Sussex County Council and Surrey County Council are working together through the Orbis Partnership to create a framework for a £500m capital programme to be delivered over the next four years.
The councils are planning to deliver the programme using separate frameworks for professional services and construction works.
The construction framework will then be divided into two sections; the first for smaller construction contractors for projects up to £3m, and the second for larger contractors who are capable of working on construction projects of £3m-£10m.
Contractors chosen for the construction projects will primarily be working on a school expansion programme, as well as other public buildings.
In addition, the new construction framework will supplement existing procurement arrangements to Orbis partners and their clients, with a estimated spend of £70m to £300m.
An event will take place on 23 September 2016 to brief interested contractors about the Orbis construction framework, and Orbis professional and technical services framework.
